② St.Rocco and St.John the Baptist church in Brochów
Fryderyk’s parents Mikołaj Chopin and Justyna Krzyżanowska were married in the church in Brochów. Also, it was where, on 23 April 1810, Fryderyk was christened. The church was an important place for the Chopins, Fryderyk’s older sister Ludwika was married here in 1832.
Surrounded by a wall with corner towers, the church is one of the most valuable religious monuments from the Reinaissance, which also showcases the defensive character that was popular in Italian design at that time.
② ブロホフの聖ロフ教会
生家から11キロほど離れた場所にあるこの教会は、ショパンが1810年4月23日に洗礼を受けた教会です。(この時、司祭に誕生日を聞かれたお母さんユスティナが2ヶ月前と答えた事で、誕生日を2月22日とする説が伝えられました)。この教会はショパン家にとって大切な教会で、彼の姉のルドヴィカも1832年にここで結婚しています。

I, the undersigned, performed the baptismal ceremonies on the infant, giving him the two names of Frideric Francis.
He was born on February 22.
The parents are the distinguished Nicolas Choppen (Nicolas Chopin) and Justina Krzyżanowska, legitimate spouses.
The godparents are the distinguished Franciscus Grembecki from the village of Ciepliny and the distinguished Countess Anna Skarbkówna from Żelazowa Wola.

私は上記の通り、名付け親に選ばれた者として、水による洗礼の儀式を終え、フリデリック・フランシスクスという二つの名前を持つ子供に授けた。
彼は2月22日に生まれた。
父はニコライ・ショッペン（ニコラ・ショパン）であり、母はユスティナ・クシジャノフスカの正当な結婚による子供である。
名付け親はフランシスクス・グレムベッキ（フランチスコ・グレムベッキ）と、彼と共にアンナ・スカルブコヴナ伯爵夫人が務めた。
※In the parish baptismal register, the date of 22 February 1810 is entered as the birthdate of Fryderyk Chopin. For many years this date was given in the literature on the composer and was considered to be correct. Yet Chopin and his family always gave
March 1 as his real date of birth.
The controversy around the composer’s birthdate is not limited just to the day of his birth.
Circumstances exist that bring doubt to the month and even the year of Chopin’s birth.
※教区の洗礼簿には、フレデリック・ショパンの誕生日として1810年2月22日が記載されています。この日付は長年にわたり作曲家に関する文献で引用され、正しいと考えられるようになりました。しかし、ショパンとその家族は常に3月1日を彼の実際の誕生日として伝えていました。作曲家の誕生日に関する論争は、単にその日だけにとどまりません。ショパンが生まれた月や年についても疑念を抱かせる状況が存在しています。
