昨日、日比谷のベヒシュタイン東京セントラムで、ヤブウォンスキ教授のマスタークラスを聴講致しました。
ショパン国際ピアノコンクールのコンテスタントの京増修史さんが、コンクールの公式審査員で世界的ピアニストのヤブウォンスキ教授のレッスンを受ける様子を聴講する事ができました。
日本にいながら、ショパンの真髄を知る事のできるレッスンを聴講できる幸運を今後も逃さないようにしたいと思いました。
レッスンは、特に音の作り方、ペダルの付け方、ショパンの望む表現、左右のバランス、フレージング、拍感を詳しく説明しながら進み、このレッスンで、受講生皆様が一瞬にしてショパニスタになる様子を見る事ができました。楽譜に書き留め、今後も大切に記憶に留めて行きたいと思いました。

Yesterday, I attended Professor Yablonski’s masterclass at Bechstein Centrum Tokyo in Hibiya.
I had the privilege of listening to Shushi Kyomasu, a contestant of the International Chopin Piano Competition, receive a lesson from Professor Yablonski, who is not only a world-renowned pianist but also an official jury member of the competition.
It felt like such a rare fortune to be able to experience a lesson that reveals the very essence of Chopin while still in Japan, and I do not want to miss such opportunities in the future.
The lesson focused in particular on sound production, pedal technique, the expression Chopin desired, the balance between the hands, phrasing, and the sense of rhythm. I witnessed how, in just a moment, all the participants seemed to transform into true Chopinists. I carefully noted everything in the score and hope to treasure these insights in my memory from now on.
